Chemical research & development

Enantia offers chemical R&D services to the fine chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech sectors at the early stages of a chemical project. Our integrated services platform provides innovative chemistry solutions always with industrial insight.

We can offer:

  • Bibliographic and IP research. Prior to any activity we carry out a complete search to understand the state-of-the-art and the intellectual property boundaries. Based on this information we elaborate a project proposal to be executed.
  • Route scouting. Design of new routes of synthesis (ROS), evaluations of the client's proposal. This is always done with a scale-up and industrialization mindset. Fully aware of the setback that a change in the route of synthesis down the road can create, we strive to get it right first time.
  • Chemical development. The art of developing one or several selected ROS focusing on the identification of the best chemistry (reagents, catalysts, solvents), impurity profiling and development of analytical methods.

Furthermore, if you need to separate racemic mixtures, we can offer two different enantiomer separation approaches according to your needs:

  • Chiral-HPLC separation. This is the method of choice if you need to separate enantiomers but the amount of product available is small. At Enantia we have strong experience resolving difficult racemic mixtures using a variety of chiral stationary phases and eluting conditions.
  • Diastereomeric crystallization. If your racemic API or intermediate is in the chemical development stage and you need to address an enantiomeric separation, we can develop diastereomeric crystallization processes by a classical diasteromeric salt formation approach or through the latest co-crystallization technologies.

Communication and transparency are always maintained through periodic meetings, conference calls and reports which facilitate an accurate technology transfer process.

Commercial Model

With a flexible commercial model, we execute projects through FTE service agreements but also through a variety of different approaches like: fee per success, fee per project or through a shared risk approach.
